Privacy Policy

TL;DR

We do not collect your data. Pomist has no user accounts, no non-local tracking analytics. All your data is stored securely in your own private iCloud container.

Pomist ("we", "our", or "us") is built on a simple principle: your productivity data is yours alone. We believe you shouldn't have to sacrifice privacy to get things done.

1. No Account Required

You do not need to create an account to use Pomist. The app works locally on your device immediately after download. Because we have no user accounts, we do not have servers that store your email, password, or personal information.

Todoist Integration: If you choose to provide your Todoist API token to import tasks, this token is stored securely on your local device and is never transmitted to our servers. All data processing for this integration happens locally on your machine.

2. Data Storage & iCloud Sync

Pomist uses Apple's CloudKit to synchronize your sessions and tasks across your devices. This means:

Your data is stored in a private database within your iCloud account.
We (the developers) cannot access, view, or modify your data.
Apple manages the security and encryption of your data on their servers.

3. Contacting

If you contact us via email provided on our website or in the app we may collect your email address and any other information you provide to us. We will use this information to respond to your inquiry and provide you with the information you requested. By contacting us via email, you consent to the collection and storage of your personal information for these purposes only.

4. No Third-Party Tracking

No Third-Party Tracking: We do not track you. Pomist does not contain any third-party analytics SDKs (like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Facebook Pixel). We do not collect behavioral data or ad identifiers.
Apple Crash Reports: We may receive anonymous crash reports directly from Apple if you have opted in to share analytics with developers in your device settings. These reports help us fix bugs and improve the app, but they do not contain personally identifiable information.

5. Data Retention

Since your productivity data is stored in your personal iCloud account, you control how long it is kept. We do not have a copy of your data. If you choose to delete the app or delete specific data within the app, it is removed from your device and your iCloud container immediately.

For support emails (as mentioned in Section 3), we retain correspondence only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry or as required by law.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under laws like the GDPR and CCPA, you have rights regarding your data (access, rectification, deletion).

App Data: Since Pomist does not collect or hold your personal productivity data, we cannot process requests regarding this data directly because we simply do not possess it. You already have full ownership and control of this data via your device and Apple ID.
Support Correspondence: Regarding contact information you may have sent us for support (Section 3), you have the right to request access to or deletion of this specific information.

7. Deletion and Revocation

App Data: You can delete your app data at any time by deleting the data inside the app or deleting the app itself.
Support Data: You can request the deletion of your email correspondence and contact details at any time by contacting us at the email below.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data (via email support), please contact us.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
